Institute For Social Development Studies collaborated with TFCF and Actionaid conducted together in order to develop and pilot a more comprehensive model of education, communication, and prevention skills responding to sexual harassment with adolescents. Through the research process, we have found impressive numbers.
- Awareness:
- 60% of adolescents do not think that staring at girls and whistling is sexual harassment.
- 63% of adolescents do not take action and 56% do not know what to do when witnessing sexual harassment behavior.
- Experience:
- 60% of adolescents were having sexual harassment at least once, that has 25% don’t tell anyone
- 50% of adolescents suffered mental health losses after having sexual harassment.
